Income Tax Raid at Mammootty & Mohanlal’s Residence …!

Income tax department started a raid at Actor Mohanlal ‘s & Mammootty ‘s house and offices in Banglore, Chennai, Cochin and Trivandrum. The raid started today morning at 6 30 am simultaneously at all the residence of Mammooty & Mohanlal . This unexpected raid start due to the information which got to income tax department that the tax returns filed were not matching with their income More than 80 officers from the Income Tax department conducting the raid. Raids are currently going on at Mammootty’s production company ‘Play House’ in Chennai. Also at Mammootty’s houses in Chennai and Kochi.
The IT Department raids are also going on at Mohanlal’s production and distribution company – Max Labs and Ashirwad house at Kochi. Mohanlal’s film studio ‘Vismaya cinemax’ is also being raided. His homes in Trivandrum is raided too. Mohanlal is the owner of some hotels in Bangalore and had recently bought a plush house in the world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai.Currently Mohanlal is at Rameshwaram for the shooting of a film, while Mammootty is in Chennai. Raid handling by 80 member squad of IT Department by grouping as Seven member team . IT Dept associates with other states IT officers and carrying the operations at same time in all offices and residences of both South Super Stars.
In a career spanning more than three decades, Mammootty has won the National Award thrice (Dr. Ambedkar (1988), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Mathilukal (1989) and Vidheyan, Ponthan Mada (1993) and has acted in more than 360 films. He has also done a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.
Mohanlal is regarded as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema and is a cultural icon in Kerala. He was also bestowed upon with a Padma Shri for his contributions to Indian cinema. He has won four National Film Awards and one of his notable roles were in Mani Ratnam's Iruvar and Ram Gopal Varma's Company.
